Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon was founded in 1999 when Dominique Lafon, of the legendary Meursault estate Domaine des Comtes Lafon, acquired vines in the Mâconnais village of Milly-Lamartine. He was among the first Côte d’Or producers to see the region’s potential, converting the estate to biodynamic farming and passing it on to his nephew and daughter, Pierre and Léa Lafon.

Made from Chardonnay grown on clay and hard limestone at around 250 meters elevation, the wine is fermented with native yeasts in large wooden foudres and aged on its lees for seven to eight months. It opens with citrus and orchard fruit, delivering a fresh, precise palate with real mineral drive.
