Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe, founded in 1891 by Henri Brunier on the stony La Crau plateau, is one of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s most iconic estates. Clos La Roquette comes from a three-hectare walled vineyard the Bruniers acquired in 1986 and folded into the domaine in 2017, prized for its sandy topsoil over red clay and the famous rolled “galets” stones of Châteauneuf.
Splitting evenly between Roussanne, Clairette, and Grenache Blanc, the wine opens with orchard fruit and white flowers. The palate delivers the freshness and elegance this particular parcel is known for, distinct from the domaine’s more powerful flagship Blanc.
As a wine from one of Châteauneuf’s most storied producers and a historic single-vineyard site, this bottle carries real collector appeal and aging potential. The magnum format makes it an especially strong choice for the cellar or a special occasion.
A compelling pick for serious Rhône collectors, milestone gifting, or long-term cellaring.
