Les Paquiers is a Coteaux Bourguignons bottling from Vincent Paindavoine, a new voice making waves in Vosne-Romanee. The wine comes from a tiny 0.30-hectare parcel just north of Vosne-Romanee planted in 1968 and 2014, on east-facing gray-blue Marne des Bresse clay soil with limestone scree.

Made with de-stemmed fruit, a five-day cold maceration and about 30% new oak over 12 months, the wine offers real depth despite its basic regional classification. It is a compelling discovery from an exciting new name in the heart of the Cote de Nuits.
