Arnaud Mortet, son of the celebrated Denis Mortet and grandson of Charles Mortet who founded the family domaine in 1956, has run his own estate in Gevrey-Chambertin since 2006. Charmes-Chambertin is one of his most acclaimed Grand Cru bottlings, made with meticulous fruit selection and very low yields.

Made from Pinot Noir and aged seventeen months in seventy percent new oak, the wine opens with sweet berries and plum, joined by rose petal, forest floor, and warm spice. The palate delivers a full-bodied, enveloping character, deep and concentrated with lively acidity and melting tannins through a long, expansive finish.
