2022 Jintaro Yura L’abeille et le Papillon Pinot Blanc 750ml

Jintaro Yura, born and raised in Japan, worked as a sommelier before training in wine school and traveling through Burgundy and New Zealand’s Waipara before settling in Alsace. L’Abeille et le Papillon blends 50% Pinot Blanc and 50% Auxerrois from clay-limestone soils in Gueberschwihr, farmed organically in very limited quantities.

Fermented with native yeasts and aged with lees stirring across a mix of vessels, the wine emphasizes clarity and pure site expression through minimal intervention. It is a fascinating discovery from a Japanese-born vigneron bringing a distinctive outside perspective to Alsace winemaking.
