Domaine du Chapital, founded in Lantignie in 1981 by Bernard Desperrier and now run by four partners since 2022, farms plots across Lantignie, Morgon and Regnie. L’ADN comes from vines over 60 years old on steep granitic hillsides, classified as Beaujolais Villages and made entirely from Gamay.

Expect a fresh, fruit-forward red with red and dark fruit character that develops more aromatic complexity with a few years of age, capable of aging up to five years. The 2023 vintage won a Silver Award at the Concours des Grands Vins du Beaujolais, reflecting this historic estate’s continued quality under new ownership.
