2011 Querciabella Camartina: Iconic Tuscan Biodynamic Mastery
The 2011 Querciabella Camartina IGT Toscana Rosso 750ml stands as an aristocratic Super Tuscan of sublime harmony and balance. In particular, this flagship cuvée unites Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese cultivated in the high-elevation soils of Greve in Chianti. In addition, the disciplined 2011 vintage favored estates with meticulous viticulture, yielding refined fruit and silky structural focus.
Tasting Notes for 2011 Querciabella Camartina
The wine opens with layered aromas of blackcurrant, dark cherry, graphite, sweet tobacco, and dried violets. Furthermore, elegant accents of dark cocoa, rosemary, and cedarwood emerge with decanting. On the palate, finely polished tannins integrate seamlessly with a mineral-rich core of bramble berries. Consequently, the finish lingers with impressive poise, savory freshness, and enduring Tuscan depth.

Estate History and Heritage
Querciabella was founded in 1974 by entrepreneur and passionate wine collector Giuseppe Castiglioni. Specifically, the estate embraced organic viticulture in 1988 before converting to 100% plant-based biodynamic farming in 2000. Moreover, Querciabella has earned worldwide critical praise for combining Tuscan heritage with Bordeaux polish.
Today, Sebastiano Cossia Castiglioni directs the property with an uncompromising focus on sustainability and precision. As a result, Camartina remains one of the most revered and ethically produced Super Tuscans in Italy.
