Description

Bastian Wolber trained at Domaine Leflaive, in the Mosel and Alsace, and with Jean-François Ganevat in the Jura before launching his own négociant project, named “Laisse Tomber” (“let it fall”) after a skateboarding accident during harvest. This Gamay comes from century-old vines in southern Beaujolais.

Made with 100% whole-cluster semi-carbonic maceration, the wine opens with vibrant red fruit and spice on the nose. The palate delivers an energetic, refreshing character with spiky, lively tannins and a fresh, mineral finish reflecting the vineyard’s granite soils.

This is a lively, easy-drinking natural red best enjoyed within its first few years — an approachable way to try old-vine Beaujolais fruit from a promising young winemaker.

A good fit for casual dinners, natural wine tastings, or gifting to adventurous drinkers.
