Les Heritiers du Comte Lafon, founded in 1999 by Dominique Lafon of the legendary Domaine des Comtes Lafon, is a biodynamic Maconnais estate in Milly-Lamartine. Clos de la Crochette comes from a historic clay, chalk and rock parcel in the village of Chardonnay itself, a site Lafon believes may have been among the first planted by the monks of the Abbaye de Cluny.

Aged in demi-muids and foudres for nine months on the lees, the wine shows real depth and minerality for a Maconnais Chardonnay. It brings genuine Lafon-family pedigree to an appellation known mostly for simpler, everyday wines.
