2023 Domaine de Vaccelli Ajaccio Quartz Blanc 750ml

Domaine de Vaccelli, founded in 1960 and now run by Gerard Courreges in the Taravu valley of southern Corsica, farms 25 hectares of granitic soil in the Ajaccio appellation, certified organic since 2019. Quartz is their white cuvee, a blend of four native Corsican varieties: Carcaghjolu Bianco, Riminese, Ghjenuvese and Cudiverta.

Expect yellow plum, white flowers, honey and lime on the nose, with a generous, soft palate carrying surprising intensity and an almost invisible acidity that makes for a very complete, drinkable wine. It is a distinctive, food-friendly white showcasing Corsica’s unique indigenous grape heritage.
