2023 Domaine Julien Cecillon Saint Pierre 750ml

Saint Pierre is a single-vineyard Cornas from Domaine Julien Cecillon, founded in 2011 by Julien Cecillon, a native of Tournon-sur-Rhone and nephew of the legendary Jean-Louis Grippat, alongside his wife Nancy Kerschen. The vineyard sits on pure granite at the top of the village, planted in 1994.

Vinified in stainless steel for 30 days on native yeasts and aged 18 months in barrel, the wine is dark and intense, with a powerful nose of chocolate, ripe black fruit and peppery licorice spice, carried by an ample, juicy palate and real minerality. It is a serious, granite-driven Cornas from one of the appellation’s most promising modern producers.
