2023 Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe Télégramme 1.5L

Telegramme, the second wine of the legendary Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe, was born out of necessity during the difficult 2002 harvest as a way to use declassified fruit, but proved so popular the Brunier family kept making it. Made from 90% Grenache and 10% Mourvedre, it draws on the estate’s youngest vines, averaging around 40 years old.

Aged 15 months in vat and foudre, the 2023 offers black raspberry and dark cherry fruit with a round, layered, elegant mouthfeel and classic peppery garrigue, violet and lavender character. Bottled in magnum, it is an approachable, ready-to-drink introduction to one of Chateauneuf-du-Pape’s most iconic estates.
