This is Graeme and Julie Bott’s Saint-Joseph Rouge, a Syrah from the granite slopes of this Northern Rhone appellation, made by a couple who founded their estate in 2015 after Graeme spent eight years learning the craft under Stephane Ogier. The domaine farms 7 hectares across some of the Northern Rhone’s most prestigious terroirs.

Expect a peppery, structured Syrah with real granite-driven minerality, reflecting the meticulous farming and winemaking this young estate is known for. Bottled in magnum, it is an excellent way to experience Saint-Joseph from one of its most promising newer producers.
