First Flight Syrah is Graeme and Julie Bott’s IGP Collines Rhodaniennes bottling, sourced from granite terroir on the outskirts of the Saint-Joseph appellation near Ampuis and Condrieu, just south of the famed Cote-Rotie slopes. Vinified and aged 15 months in non-new barrels, it preserves real freshness while showing the character of the region’s granite soils.

Expect a vibrant, pure Syrah with violet and lavender high notes over a smoky core of black fruit and juicy cherry, filigreed with white pepper, cola and ash. It is an accessible yet genuinely characterful introduction to this young couple’s precise winemaking.
