2022 Domaine Julie Balagny Toccata 750ml

Toccata comes from En Remont, a three-hectare plot on a steep, wooded slope in the hills of Fleurie farmed by Julie Balagny, with vines up to 90 years old planted over a complex terroir of pink granite, basalt and quartz. Balagny trained under Yvon Metras and Jean-Francois Ganevat before establishing her own estate in 2009.

Made with carbonic maceration and no added sulfur, the wine reflects the site’s old vines and unusual mineral complexity, standing among the most sought-after natural Fleurie bottlings. It is a serious, terroir-driven expression from one of Beaujolais’s most celebrated modern winemakers.
