2017 Domaine des Miroirs But I’m Not the Only One: Mythical Cult Jura Chardonnay
The 2017 Domaine des Miroirs But I’m Not the Only One Vin de France 750ml stands as an immortal, ultra-rare masterwork of natural viticulture from Jura’s most elusive vigneron. In particular, Japanese winemaker Kenjiro Kagami cultivates steep limestone scree parcels in Grusse with monastic discipline and zero synthetic chemicals. In addition, the solar, low-yielding 2017 harvest yielded Chardonnay of astonishing concentration, laser-sharp natural acidity, and sovereign saline cut.
Tasting Notes for 2017 Domaine des Miroirs But I’m Not the Only One
The wine opens with a dazzling bouquet of lemon oil, white orchard peach, crisp pear, and crushed flint smoke. Furthermore, delicate accents of roasted almond, chamomile, wet chalk, and subtle sea spray unfurl as the wine breathes. On the palate, laser-like acidity cuts through a textured, focused core of citrus and stony minerality. Consequently, the finish reverberates with unforgettable saline persistence, crystalline purity, and flinty drive.

Estate History and Heritage
Kenjiro Kagami trained alongside Thierry Allemand in Cornas and Bruno Schueller in Alsace before establishing Domaine des Miroirs in the Sud-Revermont in 2011. Specifically, Kagami vinifies with zero added sulfur, native yeasts, and extended aging in neutral French oak casks without racking. Moreover, his wines are celebrated for achieving an otherworldly union of electric mineral tension and pure, transcendent energy.
Today, bottles from Domaine des Miroirs are virtually unobtainable on the open market, commanding center-stage auction prestige. As a result, this 2017 bottle is a crowning prize for elite natural wine collectors.
