2014 Domaine Bruno Clair Corton-Charlemagne: Grand Cru Mineral Royalty
The 2014 Domaine Bruno Clair Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru Blanc 750ml captures the commanding nobility of the Corton hill. In particular, this cuvée comes from old vines planted on the steep, white marl limestone slopes of Pernand-Vergelesses. In addition, the monumental 2014 white Burgundy vintage produced wines of legendary mineral tension, purity, and longevity.
Tasting Notes for 2014 Domaine Bruno Clair Corton-Charlemagne
The wine opens with aristocratic aromas of green apple, Meyer lemon, white blossom, and gunflint. Furthermore, complex accents of hazelnut cream, wet chalk, and fresh pastry unfold gracefully in the glass. On the palate, a powerful, muscular mineral drive surges through a dense, chiseled mid-palate. Consequently, the finish lingers with extraordinary saline persistence, flinty grip, and profound Grand Cru poise.

Estate History and Heritage
Domaine Bruno Clair was established in 1979 by Bruno Clair, grandson of Joseph Clair who founded the historic Domaine Clair-Daü. Specifically, Bruno assembled prime parcels spanning Marsannay, Gevrey-Chambertin, and the prestigious Grand Cru hill of Corton. Moreover, along with winemaker Philippe Brun, he champions non-interventionist viticulture and transparent site expression.
Today, Clair’s Corton-Charlemagne is revered by collectors for its chiseled power and enduring vitality. As a result, this 2014 vintage stands as a timeless monument of classic white Burgundy.
