2013 Domaine de la Grange des Pères: Balanced Aniane Masterpiece
The 2013 Domaine de la Grange des Pères Hérault Rouge 750ml is an elite collector icon displaying the tensile structure and freshness of Aniane terroir. In particular, this cuvée combines Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cabernet Sauvignon grown on dramatic limestone amphitheaters. In addition, the cool and late 2013 harvest produced fruit with remarkable structural tension, lively acidity, and deep savory drive.
Tasting Notes for 2013 Domaine de la Grange des Pères
The wine opens with captivating aromas of wild blackberry, dark cherry, leather, wild rosemary, and black olive. Furthermore, delicate notes of dark chocolate, cured meats, and iron minerality unfold with aeration. On the palate, silky, fully integrated tannins support a savory core of dark fruit and stony earth. Consequently, the finish lingers with refreshing acidity, stony minerality, and noble rustic grace.

Estate History and Heritage
Domaine de la Grange des Pères was founded in 1989 by the late, visionary vigneron Laurent Vaillé. Specifically, Laurent trained under masters like Coche-Dury, Chave, and Trévallon before returning to create his estate in Aniane. Moreover, he blasted ancient limestone bedrock to plant low-yielding, massale-selection vines.
Today, the estate continues Laurent’s sacred artisanal methods under family leadership with uncompromising care. As a result, this 2013 vintage stands as an essential acquisition for serious collectors of French fine wine.
