2011 Domaine du Clos des Fées La Petite Sibérie: Extreme Terroir Magnum
The 2011 Domaine du Clos des Fées La Petite Sibérie Côtes du Roussillon Villages Rouge 1.5L Magnum is an iconic cult wine of monumental depth and intensity. In particular, this scarce cuvée comes from a windy, iron-rich limestone parcel planted with ancient centenary Grenache vines. In addition, the balanced 2011 harvest allowed the grapes to achieve intense savory complexity alongside ripe, firm structure in large format.
Tasting Notes for 2011 Clos des Fées La Petite Sibérie
The wine opens with profound aromas of black cherry liqueur, wild raspberry, kirsch, lavender, and exotic spices. Furthermore, complex accents of dark cocoa, garrigue herbs, and crushed stones reveal themselves with decanting. On the palate, decadent, unctuous tannins cushion a massively concentrated core of red and dark fruit. Consequently, the finish lingers with breathtaking persistence, warming spice, and noble Mediterranean composure.

Estate History and Heritage
Domaine du Clos des Fées was founded in 1998 by former sommelier and food writer Hervé Bizeul in the rugged foothills of Vingrau. Specifically, Hervé recognized that the icy north wind sweeping through this isolated amphitheater preserved incredible freshness in ultra-ripe grapes. Moreover, La Petite Sibérie quickly became the most expensive and celebrated cult wine in southern France.
Today, each vintage is produced in minuscule allocations, fiercely hunted by collectors worldwide. As a result, this 2011 magnum represents an essential, powerful statement of extreme terroir mastery.
