2009 Lucien Le Moine Chambertin-Clos de Bèze: Grand Cru Power
The 2009 Lucien Le Moine Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru Rouge 750ml represents an aristocratic masterpiece from Burgundy’s most revered haute-couture micro-négociant. In particular, Clos de Bèze is celebrated as the historical soul of Gevrey-Chambertin, featuring pure white marl and limestone soils. In addition, the solar and legendary 2009 harvest produced immense fruit concentration, velvety tannins, and decades of cellar life.
Tasting Notes for 2009 Lucien Le Moine Clos de Bèze
The wine opens with captivating aromas of ripe black cherry, wild raspberry, dried rose petals, and warm baking spices. Furthermore, complex hints of crushed stone, licorice root, forest floor, and dark chocolate unfold in the glass. On the palate, muscular, velvety tannins frame a deeply concentrated core of wild dark berries. Consequently, the finish lingers with extraordinary length, mineral grip, and noble Grand Cru poise.

Estate History and Heritage
Lucien Le Moine was founded in Beaune in 1999 by Mounir Saouma and Rotem Brakin, quickly redefining high-end Burgundian elevage. Specifically, Mounir works with extreme lees contact, no sulfur during aging, and bespoke Jupilles oak barrels to build extraordinary textural depth. Moreover, production is strictly limited to one or two barrels per cru.
Today, Lucien Le Moine’s Clos de Bèze is celebrated among the most voluptuous and ageworthy Grand Crus in Burgundy. As a result, this 2009 vintage serves as an essential centerpiece for any fine wine cellar.
