1983 Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Rosé: Historic Millésime Prestige
The 1983 Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Rosé Brut 750ml stands as an aristocratic prestige cuvée of breathtaking refinement. In particular, this rare vintage rosé is crafted predominantly from Grand Cru Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs. In addition, over four decades of gentle cellar evolution have woven its structure into complex tertiary elegance.
Tasting Notes for 1983 Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Rosé
The wine opens with mature aromas of dried wild strawberry, blood orange, leather, fresh brioche, and crushed chalk. Furthermore, complex hints of roasted hazelnut, dried rose petals, and subtle baking spices emerge through the micro-fine bead. On the palate, a silky, vinous mousse carries layers of ripe red berries supported by vibrant citrus acidity. Consequently, the finish lingers with profound salinity, chalky tension, and aristocratic poise.

Estate History and Heritage
Champagne Taittinger is one of the last great family-owned houses in Reims, tracing its origins back to 1734. Specifically, the house created Comtes de Champagne to honor Thibaud IV, the historic Count of Champagne who brought vines from the Crusades. Moreover, the rosé prestige cuvée is produced only in exceptional vintages with tiny yields.
Today, well-preserved bottles from 1983 are prized by collectors as irreplaceable vinous artifacts. As a result, this release delivers an authentic and historic fine wine experience.
