The Macallan has officially unveiled the sixth and concluding chapter of its celebrated experimental series — The Macallan Harmony Collection Inspired by Fresh Coconut.
From rich cacao and intense Arabica coffee to meadow florals and vibrant oak, The Harmony Collection has consistently pushed boundaries while championing sustainable design. With this final release, Master Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell and her team bring the journey full circle back to The Macallan Estate, unlocking a flavour profile rarely showcased in Speyside single malts: pure, vibrant fresh coconut.

The Craft
The Art of Oak
One of the most remarkable aspects of Inspired by Fresh Coconut is its purity — there are no artificial flavourings or additives. Instead, the distinct tropical profile was drawn out entirely through meticulous wood chemistry.
Oak lactones. American oak naturally contains organic compounds known as oak lactones, which impart the creamy, sweet coconut aromas at the heart of this release.
A rare maturation choice. The whisky-making team married first-rate sherry-seasoned American oak casks with select ex-bourbon casks. For a distillery renowned worldwide for predominantly sherry-matured stock, integrating ex-bourbon casks is a deliberate departure, designed to lift the tropical top notes and sweet vanilla tones.
Tasting Notes
A Silky, Sun-Warmed Pour
Nose
Bright, invigorating fresh coconut water and zesty lime, lifted by lemon zest, orange peel, sweet ripe mango and papaya, grounded in honeyed oak.
Palate
Silky and luxurious. Rich coconut milk and citrus interplay with sweet vanilla sponge cake, honey and subtle toasted oak spices.
Finish
Crisp, lingering and delicately balanced, highlighting citrus zest, creamy coconut and gentle warming oak.
Material Innovation
Sustainable Packaging, Given New Life
True to The Harmony Collection’s mission, the presentation box is a masterclass in circular design.
Repurposed by-products. The outer box and label paper incorporate discarded coconut fibres and coir.
Zero-emission charring. Coconut husks and shells are charred through an emission-free combustion process to create charcoal, giving the packaging its distinctive, tactile matte-black finish without synthetic dyes.

How to Serve & Pair
Neat, in a Glencairn. Bottled at an ideal 46.3% ABV, enjoying it neat in a tulip glass allows the delicate citrus and coconut aromatics to blossom. Add two drops of spring water to unlock softer vanilla and stone fruit layers.
Culinary pairing. Created in synergy with the TimeSpirit Dining Experience — The Macallan’s collaboration with the three-Michelin-starred Roca brothers of El Celler de Can Roca — this single malt pairs effortlessly with coconut panna cotta, white chocolate, roasted sea bass with citrus reduction, or artisan cheeses.
