The Butterfly Effect Selection

This private selection was bottled for the Butterfly Effect cancer-awareness campaign. Barrel No. 729 produced only 180 bottles, making it an exceptionally limited example of Willett’s renowned Family Estate single-barrel program.

Unlike a batched bourbon, every bottle from this release traces back to one individual barrel. Therefore, Barrel No. 729 presents a flavor profile and proof that cannot be precisely reproduced in another Willett release.

Suggested Tasting Profile

The nose opens with caramel, vanilla and dark cherry, followed by toasted oak and gentle citrus. Next, the palate develops flavors of brown sugar, baking spice, seasoned wood and light barrel char. Finally, the finish remains warm and persistent, with lingering vanilla, pepper and mature oak.

Because this is a single-barrel bourbon, individual tasting impressions may vary. Allow the whiskey to rest in the glass before tasting. Alternatively, add several drops of water to reveal additional sweetness and aromatic detail.
