2010 Guigal La Landonne: 100-Point Côte Brune Monument
The 2010 E. Guigal La Landonne Côte-Rôtie Rouge 750ml represents an undisputed, 100-point-caliber Northern Rhône masterpiece. In particular, this flagship cuvée originates from the iron-rich, dark schist slopes of the famed La Landonne lieu-dit. In addition, the legendary 2010 harvest produced monumental fruit concentration, massive structure, and decades of cellar life.
Tasting Notes for 2010 Guigal La Landonne
The wine opens with commanding aromas of blackcurrant, crème de cassis, smoked bacon, espresso bean, and black olive. Furthermore, mature tertiary layers of leather, black truffle, cracked pepper, and crushed graphite unfold with decanting. On the palate, immense, velvety tannins wrap around a deeply concentrated core of dark fruit. Consequently, the finish lingers with extraordinary length, warming spice, and noble power.

Estate History and Heritage
Guigal’s La Landonne is universally celebrated as the most powerful and structured pillar of the legendary “La La” trinity. Specifically, Marcel Guigal planted this 100% Syrah parcel in 1975, releasing its inaugural vintage in 1978. Moreover, the wine is aged for 42 months in new French oak barrels to tame its colossal schist tannins.
Today, the 2010 La Landonne is recognized by critics worldwide as one of the greatest wines ever produced in the Rhône Valley. As a result, this bottle represents an essential acquisition for serious fine wine collectors.
