2010 Jean-Claude Bachelet Les Dents de Chien: Mature Saint-Aubin Royalty
The 2010 Domaine Jean-Claude Bachelet Les Murgers des Dents de Chien Saint-Aubin Premier Cru Blanc 750ml is a collector rarity from an all-time classic Burgundy vintage. In particular, Dents de Chien perches directly above Le Montrachet on pure limestone bedrock, yielding wines of breathtaking tension. In addition, the celebrated 2010 vintage delivered crystalline fruit purity, vibrant natural acidity, and monumental longevity.
Tasting Notes for 2010 Jean-Claude Bachelet Les Dents de Chien
The wine opens with mature aromas of ripe pear, preserved lemon, hazelnut, and crushed flint. Furthermore, subtle secondary notes of beeswax, brioche, and sea salt emerge gracefully with aeration. On the palate, a broad, oily texture is framed by a lively spine of natural limestone acidity. Consequently, the finish lingers with mouthcoating dry extract, flinty drive, and Grand Cru-level poise.

Estate History and Heritage
Domaine Jean-Claude Bachelet represents five generations of passionate winemaking excellence in Saint-Aubin. Specifically, brothers Benoît and Jean-Baptiste Bachelet took over the domaine in the 2000s, converting all holdings to certified biodynamic farming. Moreover, they utilize extended aging on the fine lees to construct wines of extraordinary longevity.
Today, their bottlings from Dents de Chien are regarded as virtual equals to neighboring Grands Crus. As a result, this 2010 vintage stands as a masterclass in mature, terroir-driven Chardonnay.
