Hommage a Louis is the pinnacle of the Droin range, a Chablis Grand Cru named for Louis Droin, who purchased this parcel at the junction of Les Clos and Valmur in 1920. From the 2023 vintage the wine can again be labeled simply as Les Clos, though the family continues to use the Hommage a Louis name for this cuvee.

Tight and powerful with real latent energy, this is a wine built for the very long haul, with winemaker Benoit Droin noting it needs up to two decades to reach its peak. Presented here in magnum, it is one of the most serious and collectible wines Chablis produces.
